Lexington 311 - One Call to City Hall now available for iPhone

Urban Anomaly and the City of Lexington, Kentucky, have released an application for easy reporting of non-emergency issues in Lexington-Fayette Urban County, the second largest city in Kentucky. The Lexington 311 app works with iPhone tools to enable citizens send reports to the LexCall 311 centralized service and information contact center.

Lexington 311 is a customized version of Urban Anomaly’s 311 Universal iPhone application. Like 311 Universal, it includes a pinpoint tool that improves the accuracy of the iPhone’s GPS reported coordinates and provides the physical address of the problem, boosting the City’s ability to locate and resolve the issue.

The application was developed in just a few days for less than $2,000.  “I’m very excited to bring this simple but effective tool to iPhone users in Lexington at such a low cost to the City. The thoughtful deployment of mobile applications like these will democratize the new ways citizens interact with their governments,” said Steve Barham, Director and Lead Designer of Urban Anomaly.

Lexington 311 was developed for use within the jurisdiction of Lexington-Fayette Urban County. To create issue reports in other jurisdictions, consider using the 311 Universal iPhone application.
